Officer Collings began the DARE Program with our 5th grade students today. We appreciate the work he has put into training and preparing for this program.
So much fun in the sun on Friday! We are looking forward to more sunshine and warm days ahead. In the meantime, remember to send a coat to school with your child. It looks like there will be some cool days in between the warm ones! We get outside as often as we can.
We love our community partnerships! Purdue Extension brought Ecobot STEM learning to one of our classes.
We had some really old students show up to school on our 100th day. It is hard to believe we have been in school over 100 days already!
We hope all of our families are enjoying the holidays and spending a little extra time with friends and family. As we wrap up 2023, here are some highlights of our latest December activities, including a 3rd grade service project designing Christmas cards for a local nursing home, 4th grade tie-dye project, staff breakfast, and Elf Day fun. Bus 10 (Denis Gray) does not have a driver this morning., December 8, 2023. We will send a bus back around after 7:50 a.m. If you are able to make other arrangements to bring your student to school that would be helpful. Thank you for being patient while waiting on a bus to come around.
Please be patient today if you try to call our school. We are having some phone issues. Sometimes the phone rings but we there is silence on the line. Our tech team is aware and working on the issue as it has impacted all of our schools. We are looking forward to our Christmas Program (grades K-2) on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. Gym doors will open at 5:30 but students must stay with parents in the gym until 5:45 when teachers will gather their students in the gym and take them to their classes. Parents, please remain in the gym. You will have an opportunity following the program to pick your child up at their classroom and take pictures in the hallways if you want.

We had a very busy two days this week at Roachdale Elementary School!
We have had a great time roller skating. Thank you Mr. McMurtry for bringing the skates to our school each year. Yesterday was another great day with our Student Appreciation Day. We appreciate each and every student and family at our school. Wishing all of our families, including our staff families, a very Happy Thanksgiving!
