ILEARN Checkpoint 1
We will be taking our first ILEARN Checkpoint this week. We are piloting the next assessment this year. This will provide us with useful information that we can use to design instruction. You can learn more about the new assessment HERE.
ILEARN Schedule:
Assessments will be completed in the mornings on the days below. Please make sure that your student is well rested and to school on time to ensure success.
October 1-4: Practice Tests
October 7: ILEARN Math Checkpoint 1
October 8: ILEARN English Language Arts Checkpoint 1
Attendance
Daily attendance and arriving on time each day is crucial to a student's success in the classroom. Please make sure that student arrives to school by 8:30 daily. If for some reason, your student is ill or cannot make it to school, please call the school at 765-522-1732, option 2 to let the health aide know.
Please remember, in order for an absence to be excused, it must meet the following criteria.
- Illness verified by note from parent or guardian
- Illness verified by note from a physician
- Family funeral
- Military-related deployment or return
- Recognized religious holidays
- Situations mandated by government agency
- Students serving as pages to the Indiana General Assembly
Only the first 10 absences with parent contact will be considered excused. After 10, a doctor's note is required.

Fall Break
Fall Break is Monday, October 14 - 18.
PowerSchool
For the safety of our children, updated information in our system is important. There are still some families that need to complete their forms on PowerSchool. If you could double check to make sure this is complete, please let me know.
There are also daily announcements on PowerSchool.

Fall Class Parties
Fall Class Parties will be held October 31 and November 1. Please watch for information from your child's teacher.
