6th Grade Cougar Kick Off 2023
What is it?
6th Grade Cougar Kick Off is the introduction to becoming a new student at North Putnam Middle School. This Kick Off is for incoming 6th grade students and parents is led by staff and NPMS student volunteers. We invite you to join us for an evening of information, fun, cookies, and lemonade.
What will be accomplished?
Your student will:
Receive his/her schedule and have a chance to find his/her classes.
Receive his/her locker and have a chance to practice opening that locker.
Learn how to get around the NPMS building.
Be informed about important issues academically at NPMS.
Drop off supplies such as tissues and wipes to SPARK teachers.
Have a photo opportunity with friends.
Be made aware of the several activities available at NPMS.
Parents will:
Be informed of important upcoming events, especially Camp Tecumseh on Sept. 14 and 15.
Receive paperwork about Class Tshirts. *These forms can be returned to us that evening.
Have the opportunity to meet staff and ask questions in a group setting.
Learn different ways to stay in touch with us (NPMS 6th Grade Team on Facebook, PowerSchool, etc.).
Feel more comfortable about having a Middle Schooler!
Order of Events:
Students and Parents meet and welcomed by NPMS Staff and Student Helpers
Parents meet with Staff while students meet with Student Helpers and Staff
Parents released to meet with student and refreshments in MS Commons
When and where is it?
Where: North Putnam Middle School – Enter through the NPMS main entrance.
Date: August 7, 2023
Time: Program starts at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m.
