Welcome to a New Year at Bainbridge!

I’m Jess Wilson, and I’m thrilled to begin my first year as the principal of Bainbridge Elementary. My journey has taken me through classrooms in math and music, roles as an instructional coach, and time as an assistant principal; all of which have reinforced my belief that the best schools are built on strong relationships, high expectations, and a deep sense of community.

This year, our theme is Finding Our True North. Our shared compass keeps us focused on what matters most: our students, our values, and our mission. For us, True North means every decision, every interaction, and every goal is guided by what’s best for our kids and our community.

We’ll be focusing on rebuilding and strengthening connections — inside our school walls and out in the wider Bainbridge community — and making sure those connections work together to support every student. That means being visible in classrooms, hallways, events, and in the community; being accessible so families, staff, and students know they can reach me; and creating open lines of communication that go both ways.

Bainbridge is a place where students are known by name, celebrated for who they are, and challenged to reach their full potential. As we begin this year, I am committed to ensuring that every child feels a strong sense of belonging, every staff member feels supported and valued, and every family feels connected to the work we’re doing. Together, we will chart our course, stay true to our compass, and make this a year our students will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Here's to the 2025-2026 school year!

Together in Our True North,

Mrs. Wilson
